UK Goodwood Trip - Day 1 Part 1

UK Goodwood Trip - Day 1 Part 1

After 33 hours of travel we have finally arrived in Edinburgh, Leith to be precise. We showered, slept, woke and showered again, and headed out for a pre-booked food tour.

The tour started with coffee and croissants, proceeded to a local pub for delicious smoked haddock and curried rice.

The smoked haddock and rice dish. I have forgotten the local name unfortunately.

The next stop was a Tapas bar for Sangria, dips, and deep fried eggplant with honey. The dips were delicious, with a manchego pesto taking top spot for me, and the eggplant being Dad‘s favourite. The final stop was a local bakehouse for scones and tea. The tea was a blend of Indian black tea and Chinese green tea, and quite frankly lost the appeal of either of them in the mix.

A bread roll with a trio of dips above it. The dips are a green pesto, a pink beetroot dip, and olive oil.
A plate of battered and fried eggplant drizzled with honey and topped with sliced orange.
Partially eaten scones with jam and cream, with a cup of awful tea.
